Today marked the end of an era in Tortured Soul's touring history. Today we said farewell to our faithful vessel, Janice, the shiny red 2000 Dodge Custom that's ferried us safely for the past 4 years.
She owed us nothing at this point, having dutifully carried us tens of thousands of miles, through every state many times over, with hardly a stall. She tolerated our messes and our spilled coffees, hurried when we were late, kept us cool in the summer and warm in the winter - she even hosted our van parties with nary a complaint. A quiet supporter she never let us down.
Sadly, in recent years, as we took to airplanes and faster modes of transportation, her services were no longer called upon and she finally succumbed neglect.
Farewell Janice, may your auction bring much needed charity to those less fortunate.
